Established in 1999, Hong Yang is an independent consultant, surveying and ship broking company formed by a group of maritime professionals.
Having comprehensive knowledge and experience in shipping industry, Hong Yang has been active in Chinese shipping industry.
Ship survey is our core service which includes ship on-hire or off-hire condition and bunker survey (including hold inspection), pre-purchase condition survey, draught survey, bunker supply quantity survey, etc. In addition to ship survey, we also provide port captain, port protective agent and ship broking service.

Condition Survey
Verify ship's general condition in way of cargo spaces, exposed deck areas, and lashing materials
Inspect stevedore damages, if any
Check ship's main certificates and/or documents and record issue / expiry date
Check and extract ship's bridge and engine log books
Bunker Survey
Take soundings of all bunker tanks
Ascertain the amounts of fuel oil and diesel oil on board

Bunker quantity survey
Take soundings of all bunker tanks
Ascertain the amounts of fuel oil on board the ship before and after bunker supply
Ascertain the amounts of fuel oil on board the oil barge before and after bunker supply
Calculate the quantity of bunker supplied
Cargo hold survey
Verify cargo spaces
Inspect hatch cover and cargo hold condition
Inspect stevedore damage, if any
Draught survey
We will focus on:
Water density of the sea, river or other waterway
Changes in the ballast quantity between initial and final draft readings
Changes in the vessel's consumables (e.g. fuel oil, drinking water) between initial and final draft readings
Trim and deformation corrections
Pre-purchase vessel survey
